Steve Carell Returns to TV

Former The Office Seasons 1-7 DVD star will lend his voice to The Simpsons Seasons 1-22 DVD Boxset, Entertainment Weekly reports. Carell will portray Dan Gillick, an accountant for mob boss Fat Tony, who must step up when Tony has to serve jury duty.

"He's nervous, and then Fat Tony says that he's got to kill some people and then he's really nervous because he actually wants to do it," executive producer Al Jean reveals. There may be good in Dan, too, though: He also joins Homer's bowling team.

Carell's episode is slated to air next fall on Fox.

The Simpsons Season 23 dvd airs Sundays at 8/7c on Fox.
