Modern Family dvd's charmingly ditzy Haley Dunphy (Sarah Hyland) hasn't exactly been lucky in love -- her last boyfriend, Dylan, decided to stay in Wyoming after she invited him on a family vacation to a dude ranch.
Now, things may be looking up for Haley. Sources reveal exclusively to Zap2it that Hyland's real-life boyfriend, Matt Prokop, has just been cast as Haley's latest love interest.
Prokop and Hyland met at the casting call for Disney's "High School Musical 3." He won the role of Jimmie Zara, but Hyland didn't get the gig -- she did, however, get the guy.
Since then, Prokop and Hyland have co-starred in two projects. In "Conception," they played a couple who conceived a baby the night they lost their virginity. Most recently they appeared in Disney's "Geek Charming," a "Can't Buy Me Love" type rom-com in which she played the popular high school girl who is ultimately won over by his nerdy character.
Both actors can also be seen in Chris Colfer's upcoming film "Struck By Lightning."
